Tikkun Olam in Tel Aviv-Jaffa offers English speaking Jews between the ages of 22-27 the opportunity to live, study and volunteer in Tel Aviv-Jaffa for 5 or 10 months.
Program Dates
First Month Orientation
The program begins with one month dedicated to Hebrew Ulpan study, getting acclimated to southern Tel Aviv and Jaffa culture, and touring potential volunteering places.
Tracks
Participants will volunteer and study in their chosen track, either Community Service or Coexistence.
Participants may add volunteering options from the other track while maintaining an overall focus on their chosen track. Each track will have one mandatory study day.
Trips and Tours
Participants from both tracks will take part in monthly overnight trips around Israel, as well as periodic day tours in and around Tel Aviv-Jaffa and cultural activities.
Community Life
All participants will be part of the Bina B'Schuna community of young Israeli volunteers, as well as the Daniel Centers' Youth Forum. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in both communities' events for holidays and other functions.
